Did You Ever Wonder Why Bad Things Happen To You

I think we've all asked the question, "Why is this happening?"

You wake up the same as you do every morning, to that annoying alarm, you trudge out of bed, get your cup of coffee, take your shower, get dressed, get in your car, and your battery is dead. Today is a big day, there's an important deadline due, and it's in your briefcase! You wonder why this is happening, yet you forgot about the woman you yelled at in the coffee shop yesterday because your coffee wasn't hot enough. You made sure your voice was just shrill and loud enough for everyone in the shop to hear, and to degrade the poor waitress as much as you could. Whether you know it or not, or understand it or not, there's your answer. A chain of events, you put negative energy into the air, it will come back to you.

Sometimes, things happen because we are caught in the lessons others have to learn. Our child may make a mistake, and we are hurt by it, but it has nothing to do with us, our child made their decision, not us. They need to learn something, and we just happened to be caught in their process.

One day, we may wake up with a backache, and it bothers us all day. Its a nagging pain, but the day before, we were all over our co workers case, picking on every little thing. They felt like there was a weight on their backs, and it didn't seem they could do anything right. Could there be a connection? I believe so.

We find ourselves in the position one day to be unemployed, and it gets to the point where we are out of money, and can't do much about it. We lose our car, our apartment or house, our food, and all we were used to. We don't however, remember not contributing to the food bank, because "those bums" should be working and making their own money. We don't even bother understanding the circumstances that led them to be homeless, and begging for food and money. We don't empathize, so we shouldn't expect any sympathy when we need it, although we usually do anyway.

What goes around comes around, it's as simple as that, and I have seen it happen in peoples' lives since I was young. The Universe seems to take care of things in it's own ways.

Life is not all about "us." We are here to learn, and to be compassionate and understanding and caring. If we choose not to be so, we will have to suffer the consequences. These could come while were still on this Earth, or when we leave it, but they will come for us.

And all of the people we have hurt and caused pain to while living, will get their just reward in one way or the other. The "bum" you walked by every day could end up with your job! And your salary! And you may be sitting on the sidewalk begging for money. Nothing that is done in anger, vengefulness, or with a mean heart, will go unnoticed. And nothing that is done out of kindness and compassion will go unnoticed either.

This life isn't all about hurting people. Actually, it's about the total opposite. How many lives will we positively affect while were stopping off on this planet Earth?

How much kindness can we spread by a simple smile, or a hello, or a couple of dollars in the poor box, or in a homeless persons hat? Is the love of money so important we can't do the right things? Money doesn't follow us to where we will be going when we die, but the way we thought and acted and reacted will.

I'd rather be kind and generous and helpful. I think the rewards for that are at the top of the stairs going up when I die, especially because I am doing so naturally, and not just to get to Heaven.

Writing calms her, and gives her a place to go by herself! Clears the head and gets it out. She lives in a rural area, with a lake and mountains, and her partner, and has loved writing since she was a child.

She has been on a journey of self discovery for twenty years, and has learned many things about the human mind, and how to maintain some semblance of calm and peace within.

If someone reads one of her stories, and relates to her feelings, and gets a suggestion on how she dealt with them in a positive way, that would be the ultimate gift of her writing.

Can we imagine of people who have nothing except bad things(as per our minimum standards)happening to them most of their life.People who have not seen many cars in their life,or have not even smelt the rich coffee in thier whole life,no bed no sheets ,no proper sleep (as per human nature u can't be awake for maore than 39 hours) if these people can forgo sleep they will indeed do it to make the barest minimum ends meet by toiling. When compared to most of the bad things happening to most people of the world, you should thank the Almighty for all that he has bestowed upon us rather than, making a mountain head out of a mole .
