God Or The Devil, Who Do You Follow

God is light and air and beauty and warmth and compassion and love.He wants what is best for us, and will show us through subtle examples, the power of His ways. Our job is to catch those subtle hints. We also have to decide if God's ways are the ones we want to go by in our lives. Do we want to be good to others, think of them first, be honest and caring and put out more than we take in? Will we go that extra mile to send a card to a loved one in need, make a casserole for the neighbor who just had surgery, be a trustworthy partner and friend, raise our children with respect, honesty, and compassion for others? Are we incorporating the goodness of our God into our daily lives?

Or is the way of God too hard for us? Do we take what we think to be the easy way out and opt for the devil, so we can do whatever we want and never have to worry about retaliation? Do we steal from others and torment them, make war out of peace, and lies out of the truth? Do we take more than we give? Do we punish more than we help? Do we cause pain were there was none? Are we greedy, selfish, confused, and angry all the time? Do we judge others who are less fortunate? Do we feel the warmth within that is merely the devil waiting to guide our next move? Do we revel in others' misfortunes, and create our own to add some extra pain and heartache? Do we wish others harm and mean it from the fiery depths of our soul?

There are huge differences in each type of person. One gives to the world, and one takes away. One adds beauty, and one adds ugliness. One tries to give back to the world what they've been given, and one hordes all they have close to their fiery soul. One has a relationship with God, and allows Him to guide their thoughts and actions, others form a relationship with the devil and allow him to guide their thoughts and actions. Which type of person are you? Do you have a conscience that sets boundaries for you, and persuades you not to cross them? Do you help your friend when they ask you to help them move, or do you make up an excuse out of selfishness and a lazy attitude? Do you try to live by honesty and truth, or do you manipulate and lie your way through life?

One leans toward the goodness of God, and the other lives through the evilness of the Devil. The two will never be compatible. They also will never understand each other. No explanations will convince the other to join their side. It can happen, if one seeks out God's help, and changes their ways. However, if one is Hell J bent on destruction and turmoil, they usually aren't interested in helping mankind, or anyone else for that matter, unless they latch on to someone who has the same views and beliefs. In this case, they can cross their boundaries and act out of hatred and anger, and never believe that they are doing so.

In the same way, one who believes in God and an ever after, and being fair, and altruistic, and understanding and compassionate and loving, will probably end up with someone who feels the same way. There is much to share in nature and a nice home and beautiful property, and sitting outside and just watching all the miracles of like. Believing in God doesn't mean that everything is going to go the way you want it, but with that belief, comes the hope that if something is meant to happen, it will. Faith that the effort you have put into your life reveals itself in fairness and integrity.

And belief that if it doesn't happen, it is because something better is in store. God, in His love and wisdom, will only give us what we can handle. The devil, in his greed and hatred, will only give us pain and heartache if we listen. And many will listen, it's easier to go that route without any internal dialogue with one's soul. And it so simple for the Devil to trick one into thinking they are doing the right thing. God doesn't trick us.

Look at all He has given us. What has the Devil given us? God has given us a brain to think with, and parents to teach us, and if we are lucky enough to have intelligent parents, they will have taught us what He wants from us, which is for our own good. The Devil never does what is for our own good. We need to make up our own minds, and decide which side of the tracks we're going to live on, the one of love and goodness and hope, or the one of fire, and evil, and bad intentions. I hope we all make the right choice.

She has been on a journey of self discovery for twenty years, and has learned many things about the human mind, and how to maintain some semblance of calm and peace within.

If someone reads one of her stories, and relates to her feelings, and gets a suggestion on how she dealt with them in a positive way, that would be the ultimate gift of her writing.
