Confronting The Puzzles Of Life

There are many of us who carry a heavy bag of anger, sorrow, confusion and aggravation. Some memories are from childhood, some from adolescence, and some from adulthood. We may not even be aware of the why behind our nervousness and anxiety in our life. If we are lucky, and do some hard work to change our inner beings, and the way we feel, the dark feelings of anger and shame may melt away. Maybe our best wasn’t good enough-but it was our best! Life blind sides us with actions and reactions to life and problems we may come up against. What we do to remedy these problems is what counts.

We may have dreams, or nightmares, where we are drowning or slipping away from this earth. In reality, we might just be feeling life’s hardships and problems. As we confront the puzzles we are faced with, and figure out conclusions that will make our lives better, not worse, the feeling of being over burdened, will lessen. Making lists and crossing off our accomplishments, is very beneficial to our positive mental health. We may go to bed worrying about our doctor’s appointment tomorrow and getting the kids fed and to their baseball games, and going food shopping and bringing the car in to be serviced.

Understandable how we can become overwhelmed. However, the next day comes, and one by one, we take care of what needs to be done, and by the time we go to sleep, we are unburdened, and feeling free and proud to have reached our goal for that day. We feel liberated and unencumbered, and drift off to sleep in a wonderful comfort zone. There are no doctors, no family, and no friends who can take care of us the way we ourselves can. If we need therapy, we should run, I mean go, if we need spiritual help, we should run, I mean go, if we need more to keep us interested in living and life, then we must find it and look under every rock until we succeed.

The doctors, friends, families, and therapists cannot live our lives for us, or keep us balanced. We are to learn the material that will help us stay calmer and make better decisions. If someone is offensive and aggravating and simply makes life miserable for all around, the burden to live life to the fullest is on them. If they refuse, most will end up alone and scratching their heads about where they went wrong in this life. Just because someone doesn’t think or act or react the way we think they should, doesn’t give us the right to degrade and demoralize them. We are not Gods-that job is taken! We are students-He is the teacher, and the more we pay attention, the more we will learn.
