Nothing Goes Unnoticed By God

Yes, God sees you take a swig off the milk container, and put it back. Sly smile as you approach the family faced towards the TV, but God knows. Not a mortal sin, but signs of your character. God sees us at 14, sipping everyone’s drink at the family picnic. Everyone is so toasty, they don’t notice, but God sees. When we lean over just enough to see the smartest kid in the classes answers on the test we don’t even have a clue about, God sees.
When we decide it might be fun to burn all the ants in their anthill, no one else may be around, but God knows. The sneakers we want but can’t afford, are just sitting on the locker bench while it’s owner is in the shower. It’s just you and those sneakers. Off they go, into your backpack. No one saw a thing, but God knows. The money that almost all of us have snatched from our mom’s wallet might not be missed by her, but, yup, you got it, God knows!
God is always with us, for good or bad. He is there to console us and strengthen us and love us. The outcome we are looking for may not be what happens, but that is simply because our Father knows better. His protection is ultimate, but we have the final say in the way we are going to think and act. What goes around, comes around, and I believe that to be true. I have known it to happen in my own life. There were things I was accused of that I never did maliciously, but God knew. And He protected me and made things right. And I’d much rather live by His laws.
Not everybody gets caught, not everybody pays the price, but we have no idea what lies in store when we leave this earth. How much will God let slide, and how much will He hold us accountable for? Did we live lives of cruelty and manipulation and lies? And what if we did? What will happen? I don’t know, but I’d rather live a good, honest, compassionate way of life, for sure. I have been Blessed, and it hasn’t all been of my doing, so I assume God held the reigns. I have accepted Him into my life as my Savior, so I am pretty sure He was the one who saved me!
Of course, He doesn’t like to work alone, in my opinion. We are responsible for letting our own hearts and minds and consciences make good decisions for us. We all have lapses of judgment, but on the whole, it’s a good idea to be respectful and responsible while living this life. The way we were raised, of course, plays a big part in the way we behave, but we all become adults, and have the responsibility to adjust all we have been taught, to that which we have learned. Just remember, God sees all.
